Mortals are often trapped in obstacles, disasters and confusion, and Green Tara’s compassion is the raft that ferries beings across. She manifests in lalitasana to symbolize day-and-night protection, grants wishes with the Varada mudra, and holds the utpala stem to represent purity and guide beings out of suffering.
