Vajradhara: Texts Root Tantra of Vajradhara and Root Tantra of Guhyasamaja establish his primordial Buddha status; all Anuttarayoga Tantras open with homage to Vajradhara as lineage originator.

Vajrasattva: Vajrasekhara Sutra and 100-Syllable Sadhana of Vajrasattva explicitly document his emanation from Vairocana as Vajradhatu purification yidam. When Nagarjuna retrieved tantric scriptures from Southern Iron Stupa, the transmission sequence is definitively recorded:

Vajradhara (Primordial Source) → Vajrasattva (Emanated Holder of Teachings) → Nagarjuna → Mundane Vajrayana Lineages

This lineage chain confirms Vajrasattva inherits the full corpus of Vajradhara’s teachings while retaining distinct individual identity.
