A Trio of Antique-style Bronze Incense Burners by ICH Inheritor Jin Quanfu | Inheriting Song & Ming Aesthetics · Unique Craftsmanship

The base features a four-character seal script maker’s mark reading “Jin Quan Fu Zhi” (Crafted by Jin Quanfu), arranged in the traditional reading order from top right to bottom right, then top left to bottom left. Engraved just above and to the right of this mark is the two-character auspicious inscription “Zheng Nian” (means Mindfulness). To the lower left is a two-character cyclical date seal mark reading “Ren Yin,” corresponding to the Year of the Tiger in 2022. Please note: In accordance with the traditional Chinese calendar, the zodiac year transitions at the Start of Spring; therefore, this date mark specifically designates pieces cast after February 4, 2022.

Crafted by Master Jin Quanfu, a representative inheritor of Intangible Cultural Heritage, this exquisite trio draws inspiration from the Ming Dynasty’s Xuande imperial workshops and the renowned coppersmith Zhang Mingqi. Revering antiquity without being bound by it, Master Jin reimagines the traditional lid with rare openwork landscapes, figures, and swirling mist—a profound reflection of the Daoist unity of man and nature, and Confucian ideals. His innovative refinement in the vessel’s crisp lines and masterful patination rivals the finest Ming and Qing masterpieces.
Presented as a cohesive set, these burners invite art into daily life, echoing the timeless Song Dynasty aesthetic of “reading by the incense, watching the smoke in stillness.” In today’s fast-paced world, they offer a sanctuary for meditation, yoga, and mindfulness, guiding us back to our roots and nurturing inner peace.
