This is an integrally cast painted and gilded bronze seated statue of Supreme Lord of the Dark Heaven on ornate throne, crafted via traditional lost-wax casting technique.

Modelled following orthodox Taoist iconography of Emperor Zhenwu, the deity sits upright barefoot on an elaborately carved throne adorned with cloud and dragon patterns.

A coiled dragon is embossed on the deity’s abdomen; robe surface is meticulously chiseled with auspicious clouds, mountains, waves and pavilion motifs with intricate layered detailing.

The reverse bears horizontal four-character inscription reading ‘Xuan Tian Shang Di’ (Supreme Lord of the Dark Heaven), with a secondary three-character inscription reading ‘Wudang Mountain‘ mark below, confirming its connection to Zhenwu’s sacred ancestral abode.

The front plinth is incised with devotional motto ‘You Qiu Bi Ying’, translating as All Prayers Are Answered, a classic inscription for sincere supplication.

Finished with natural mineral pigments and gilded outlines, the sculpture carries mellow antique patina with rigorous craftsmanship, qualifying as high-grade collectible artwork.

It embodies thousand-year heritage of Wudang Zhenwu worship, possessing both Taoist ritual significance and bronze sculptural collectible merit.
