This is an orthodox Taoist bronze statue of Zhong Kui Subduing Demons. Also titled Saint Lord of Blessing and House Protection, Heavenly Master of Ghost Subjugation, Zhong Kui is the most preeminent Taoist deity for exorcism. The statue adopts a classic pose: right hand raised with demon-slaying sword, left hand holding fortune, one foot pressing down an evil ghost, symbolizing vanquishing all malevolence and grasping blessings and prosperity.

Cast from solid bronze with two-tone antiqued finishing, it features fluid layered robe folds, sharply detailed beard and facial carving with upright, imposing demeanor. The rock-textured base delivers solid stability. Per Chinese folk custom, displaying Zhong Kui suppresses negative energy, counteracts unfavorable yearly luck, wards off malicious people and disputes, dispels gloomy aura, making it a classic piece for folk enshrinement, feng shui decor and antique art collection.
